Patch 1.04 for Elden Ring is welcome news for magic-based builds.
There are a slew of new features in the Elden Ring patch 1.04, including a plethora of performance improvements and weapon/ability balancing modifications, as well as a few surprises.
The entire patch notes can be found here, however anyone using a mage build will be especially pleased, since magic attacks have received a large bump. In addition, the cast and recovery times for some spells, such as Crystal Barrage and Grave of Haima and Ranni’s Dark Moon and Rennala’s Full Moon, have been shortened.
With this patch, magic will be even more effective against the game’s most difficult opponents and bosses in Elden Ring. Colossal Swords have gained more damage as a result of this update’s buffs and adjustments.
Update 1.04 increases one of the game’s NPC questlines like prior Elden Ring versions. The task you’ve been assigned by Patches, a character you’ve come to know and love from the Souls series, has been updated with new conversation stages and events. For free material to be introduced to a game two months after its release, even if it’s only a little addition, it’s hard to complain, especially since it’s free.
Besides the speed and bug fixes, this patch includes a slew of additional goodies. There were a lot of issues in the first release of Elden Ring, but developer From Software is still working to repair them. These problem fixes are much welcomed, however it should be emphasised that Elden Ring was published in an acceptable and playable form, at least on console.
