On the heels of last month’s launch of the OnePlus Ace in China, the firm will introduce the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition tomorrow. However, this is not simply a fresh coat of paint; it features a number of significant upgrades.

On OppoShop.cn, a site that features photos of products, the Racing Edition is already listed. The phone may also be seen in black in the photographs released by Evleaks. See? I don’t even have a racing jacket. However, did you notice the Power button’s recess? Fingerprints can be found all over the place.

When compared to previous models, this one uses a 120Hz LCD instead of the previous model’s AMOLED display (6.59″ in size according to TENAA). As Louis Li, the President of OnePlus China, recently announced on Weibo, the display would be capable of supporting up to six distinct refresh rates at once.

You can notice the primary camera’s 64-megapixel badge and the 15-25mm marking, which indicates the focal lengths of both the main and ultra wide cameras, if you enlarge the rear photos (in 35mm equivalent). To refresh your memory, the back of the standard Ace features a 50+8+2 MP camera configuration. As for the Racing Edition edition, another teaser image shows that the bottom of the device has a USB port for charging (the standard Ace doesn’t have a USB port).

The chipset will remain the same – a Dimensity 8100-Max – but we have no idea what else will change.

The cost will be altered as well. According to Li, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is the greatest phone in its pricing bracket, thus it’s likely to be cheaper than the standard Ace. The complete story will be revealed tomorrow.
