OnePlus isn’t satisfied to rest on its laurels after launching the OnePlus 10 Pro in North America. As expected, OnePlus has officially unveiled the Nord N20, the company’s follow-up to the Nord N10. This new low-cost phone includes certain features often seen on flagships, but at a lower cost.

Without further ado, here is all you need know about the OnePlus Nord N20.

When will the OnePlus Nord N20 be on sale?

T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile will be the sole carriers for the Nord N20, OnePlus has confirmed. Both AT&T and T-Mobile will begin selling the phone on April 28.

Soon, shops like Amazon, Best Buy, and others will sell the Nord N20. The exact release date has not yet been announced. The Nord N20’s price has yet to be announced by OnePlus, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

OnePlus Nord N20: Design and specifications

With its two oversized camera lenses, the OnePlus Nord N20 has a distinctive appearance. A beautiful shade of blue, both in photographs and 3D renderings. The phone’s front has a hole-punch camera and a flat display, making it seem rather contemporary. This is a cheap phone, thus it’s to be expected to have a prominent chin.

The Nord N20 has the following specifications.

OnePlus Nord N20
Display6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED
CPUSnapdragon 695
Storage / Expandable128GB / Yes
Rear cameras64MP main, monochrome, macro
Battery4,500 mAh

While the 6.43-inch AMOLED screen is sure to thrill many, we’re particularly looking forwards to the rapid 33W charging. When it comes to inexpensive smartphones, the Nord N20 outperforms the iPhone SE, Pixel 5a, and Galaxy A53, which all charge at lower speeds than the Nord N20. The Nord N20’s 4,500 mAh battery should be topped up very rapidly.

So yet, we haven’t received a phone equipped with the Snapdragon 695 for testing, so we’re eager to learn more about its capabilities. System-on-chip (SoC) having a maximum frequency of 2.2GHz and an X51 5G modem that supports sub-6GHz and mmWave frequencies. In terms of connection, this processor doesn’t support Wi-Fi 6, therefore it’s still reserved for the most costly smartphones.

The in-display fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus Nord N20 further streamlines the design. We’re eager to see how quick and precise the Nord N20’s sensor is, despite recent advances in this field. No OnePlus 10 Pro-style wide-angle lens is available, but there is a 64MP primary camera with a monochrome lens and macro lens.

We noticed that OnePlus claims that the Nord N20 will be pre-installed with Android 11 when it goes on sale. If that’s the case, it’s a terrible omission. We believe it’s ridiculous that OnePlus is launching a phone in 2022 with an operating system that’s just six months old.

OnePlus N20 Nord Review: What’s Next?

On paper, the OnePlus Nord N20 seems to be a really attractive device, and it’s even more impressive in person. Considering that the Nord N series receives so few upgrades over the course of its existence, we’re concerned about Android 11.

Even yet, the Nord N20 seems to have a premium design and good specifications. Even if OnePlus failed to inform us of price, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we learn more. Stay tuned for our review in the next few days.
