I’m not interested in the OnePlus 10 Pro anymore; instead, I’m looking forward to the OnePlus 10 Ultra, assuming the rumours of its existence are accurate. And these additional renderings just serve to enhance the overall appearance of the Ultra.

The images, which were created by Jermaine “Concept Creator” Smit and shared by LetsGoDigital, are based on a OnePlus design that was recently disclosed and has been granted patent protection. Consequently, there’s a certain amount of guessing involved in determining precisely what an Ultra OnePlus phone might look like, but it seems to be quite possible and consistent with what has already been speculated.

There is a significant difference between this purported OnePlus 10 Ultra and the OnePlus 10 Pro in that it replaces the flash module and the OnePlus 10 Pro’s 3.3x optical zoom camera with a huge periscope telephoto camera. Although Concept Creator specifies a zoom of 5x magnification, which is normal for periscope cameras, the cameras are capable of operating at greater zoom levels. In the case of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, for example, it is expected to have a camera with a 10x optical zoom.

It has been determined that the flash has been shifted to the top-right corner of the camera bump as a consequence of the new camera. As you can see in the images below, the top two cameras on the OnePlus 10 Pro — the 50MP primary camera and the 48MP ultrawide camera — seem to have kept the same on this OnePlus 10 Ultra design. It is possible that OnePlus may increase the power of the Ultra via increasing the sensor size or resolution, something that we would not necessarily be able to see from the exterior.

One likely addition to the OnePlus 10 Ultra’s camera system is the MariSilicon NPU, which was developed by Oppo’s partner firm, Oppo Technology. Even before their merger last year, the two companies traded a large number of hardware and software components, so the speculation that Oppo’s new photography-focused processor will emerge in a future OnePlus phone makes a great deal of logical sense.

With the exception of the display, the front of the phone appears quite similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro that we already know we’ll be receiving. The screen of the 10 Pro is curved, although the one shown in the patent and renderings is flat. Curved screens may make phones with bigger displays more comfortable to use, but some people find them uncomfortable to use because of the greater possibility of accidentally touching the display.

There are presently no specifications leaks for the OnePlus 10 Ultra, which may or may not even exist. After all, the rumour regarding the periscope camera is based only on the design of the phone and the form of the camera hole, and does not make any clear claims about the camera’s capabilities. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 120Hz LTPO 2.0 display, and 80W charging are all expected to be included in this phone, which would be similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro in terms of specifications.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is now officially available for purchase in China, despite the fact that it is not yet accessible in other countries. A release in the United Kingdom and the United States has been announced, although OnePlus has not provided a release date at this time. Considering that the launch is likely still a few months away, there’s still time for additional information to emerge from the rumour mill, whether it’s about a OnePlus 10 Ultra or the presently unannounced OnePlus 10.
