It is the world’s first OLED 240Hz display on a gaming laptop. In comparison, laptop OLED displays typically run at a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. Gamers who seek a display with excellent contrast and fast refresh rates will be happy to hear this news. Even so, you won’t be able to get your hands on this function for free.

According to Razer, the new Razer Blade 15 has a 15.6-inch 1440p OLED display with a maximum brightness of 400 nits and a colour gamut that covers the complete DCI-P3 standard. In games where input latency is a problem, a reaction time of 1 ms should be sufficient.

A GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, an Intel Core i9-12800H CPU, 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of SSD storage are also included in this setup. You may expand your storage capacity by using an extra M.2 slot. The Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI connectors are all included. SD cards may be read by the card reader as well.

In addition, the 240 Hz OLED display and heavy-duty components have a high price tag. This model of the Razer Blade 15 will cost $3,499 when it goes on sale in the last quarter of 2022. Last year, we tested a $3,400 configuration of the Razer Blade 15 Advanced. This new laptop’s cost isn’t out of the ordinary, but it’s still rather pricey.

Price aside, it’s amazing to think that you won’t have to pick between an OLED screen and a 240Hz refresh rate anymore when buying a gaming laptop. Even though I’m not sure whether this is the beginning of a trend, those who can afford it should be happy about it. There is still a long way to go until we can get our hands on this next edition of the Razer Blade 15, but I for one can’t wait to see whether it can compete with the greatest gaming laptops.
