It was announced by Motorola China that a new 200MP camera phone will be released in July. The long-rumored Motorola Frontier smartphone, which has been rumoured since last year, is most likely this. The 200MP camera sensor is being hailed as a “new benchmark for image experience” in the latest teaser.

In the past, rumours have indicated that Motorola will adopt Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP1. Pixel binning and its deep learning-based remosaicing method allow the sensor to produce 12.5MP or 50MP still images. Video recording at 30 fps is also supported by the sensor.

Motorola has also just announced that it is working on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone, which could be the same phone that will launch the 200MP camera sensor.

The Motorola Frontier is expected to include a 6.67-inch curved pOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 60MP selfie camera, according to speculated specifications. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be combined with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage, according to several sources. According to rumours, the battery will have a capacity of 4,500 mAh and will be recharged at a rate of 30W to 50W via wired or wireless charging.
