The business revealed in a press statement that it would roll out 5G Ultra Wideband in at least thirty additional US cities, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Denver.

End of year coverage of 175 million people is the goal of the corporation, which now serves 100 million customers. According to Verizon’s EVP and President of Global Network and Technology, Kyle Malady, “driving greater efficiency and coverage from the C-band spectrum,” Verizon has been able to increase 5G coverage ahead of time.

“To offer 5G Ultra Wideband to our clients even quicker, we’ve recently received this early spectrum authorization. C-band spectrum efficiency and coverage have helped us speed up deployment since we’ve been able to use possibilities like the one we’re presenting today, as well as our existing infrastructure. I’ve never seen a network rollout proceed so rapidly in my time at Verizon.”

Customers of the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and the new iPhone SE will be able to take advantage of the enhanced speeds as a result of the expansion. Keep in mind, though, that Verizon’s Ultra Wideband 5G operates at mid-band speeds rather than the fastest mmWave ones.
