If reports are to be believed, Samsung is hard at work on enhancements to the Galaxy Z Fol4. The phone’s cameras have also been upgraded, putting it on par with the S22 versions.

According to GalaxyClub, the phone would include a 10 MP telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom. All three Galaxy S22 variants are likely to have the same 3x camera. The present 12MP 2x camera on the Z Fold3 will be replaced by this new 8MP camera.

A 10 megapixel selfie camera may also be in the works. It’s unclear if that’s for the front-facing camera (which already has a 10 megapixel sensor) or the camera that’s hidden behind the display.

A 4MP camera on the Z Fold3 UDC yielded decent images, but the pricing of the foldable flagship still left a much to be desired. It’s fair to say that the technology for under-display cameras is in its infancy.

In any case, the phone will still have a superior selfie camera on the cover display and even more if you utilise the primary cameras to take selfies.

The wide and ultra-wide modules on the Galaxy Z Fold4 haven’t been discussed much, so we don’t know whether the 50 MP primary camera from the S22 and S22+ would be used or not. The Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 were debuted in August of last year, so we should get a clearer look at the new foldable flagship shortly. source
