There will be a 40 percent increase in battery life and double the RAM in Amazon’s upcoming 2022 Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids. On addition, the quad-core processors in both devices will be 30 percent faster. A USB-C charging port and two 2MP cameras with 720p video recording and video calling are also included. Support for Alexa is also built in.
The Fire 7 Kids has a kid-proof protective case, a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+, and a two-year worry-free warranty, whereas the Fire 7 is practically the same device.
A date for the release of both tablets has been set for June 29, 2014. At a starting price of $59, Amazon is taking pre-orders for the new Fire 7. You can get it in black, denim, or rose for $28, with matching covers, and you can choose between 16GB and 32GB of storage.
Pre-orders for the Fire 7 Kids may be placed right now, with prices beginning at $109 USD. An adjustable kickstand that doubles as a handle can be seen on the kid-proof case, which is available in blue, red and purple. After the free trial, you can subscribe to Amazon Kids+ for as little as $2.99 per month if you’re an Amazon Prime member.
