The first OnePlus foldable phone is speculated

OnePlus’ only comment on a foldable phone so far has been that it isn’t in a hurry to create one. However, according to the newest rumours, such a gadget is now being developed and may seem familiar.

However, at this point, we have no idea when or how much the OnePlus foldable phone will cost, according to sources who spoke to Pricebaba(opens in new tab) and tipster Yogesh Brar(opens in new tab).

According to the same source, OnePlus is planning to release five smartphones in 2022, but this foldable phone is not one of them. I don’t know whether it will debut before the year is through.

Is this our first time meeting?

One thing we do know is that the OnePlus foldable phone will be based on the Oppo Find N, which is exclusively available in China for the time being, according to our sources. That makes sense, given that BBK Electronics is the parent company of both Oppo and OnePlus.

It’s possible that this is how the Oppo Find N is receiving a worldwide launch as both Oppo and OnePlus have already indicated that they would work more closely together in the future – integrating their smartphone efforts, effectively.

In 2020, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau declared that foldable phones did not provide “substantial benefit or value” – but things have changed, of course. We’ll let you know as soon as OnePlus’s foldable phone becomes official.

Everyone wants a foldable device, according to my analysis.

As far as we know, the first foldable phones were from Huawei and Samsung. Huawei has slowed down in the years afterwards, but Samsung hasn’t stopped making phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

The Motorola Razr, which is scheduled to receive a redesign this year, shares the clamshell design of this phone. OnePlus now seems to be interested in the foldable phone market, and we know the company has been working on foldable phone software for some time.

Oppo and Xiaomi, both Chinese companies, have also entered the fray. Vivo is known to be working on a foldable phone, and a new leak from OnePlus suggests the company may be next.

What about Google and Apple now that prices are falling and technology is improving? It’s been years since rumours of the Pixel Fold and iPhone Fold first surfaced, but it now seems that Google will release a gadget before Apple.
