According to Ross Young of DSCC, Samsung’s next generation of foldables will have an even bigger cover display than its predecessors, the Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Flip4. Even while we don’t receive a specific figure, Young says the Flip4’s outside panel will measure over 2 inches in width.
This is a significant improvement over the original Z Flip, which only had an outside screen of around a half-inch in size. Rumors about a slightly higher 3,400 mAh battery capacity than the 3,300 mAh cell in the outgoing generation have also surfaced recently. Samsung intends to sell a significant number of folding phones by 2022, when the Z Flip4 is slated to appear with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ CPU.
