In India yesterday, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand unveiled the Redmi Note 11 Pro, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, and the Redmi Watch 2 Lite; today, the firm stated it would launch the Redmi 10 in India on March 17.

However, the Redmi 10 that will be available in India starting next week is not the same as the Helio G88-powered model that was launched last August or in February of this year. We’re taking a look at a whole new phone.

The Redmi 10 Indian model’s specifications haven’t been revealed yet, however Redmi did offer us a look of its design and disclose several features. Instead of a punch hole in the middle, the Redmi 10 in India will have a notched display powered by a 6nm Snapdragon CPU.

An island-like flash and two cameras have been added to the smartphone’s back, which is now covered in a scratch-resistant material. As an alternative to having two cameras, the main camera might include merely a depth sensor.

The fingerprint reader on the island is reminiscent to the one seen on the Realme Narzo 50A.

The Redmi 10 was also teased with rapid charging, “huge battery,” and “ultra-fast storage,” although Redmi didn’t go into any information about these.

While we wait for further information on the Indian Redmi 10, here is a short reminder of the Redmi 10 that was announced in August. Android 11-based MIUI 12.5, 8MP selfie camera, 50MP quad camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging are all included in the smartphone. It is powered by the Helio G88 SoC.

It has dual speakers and a fingerprint scanner on the side.

Except for the lack of a dedicated microSD card slot, the Redmi 10 2022 has the same specifications as the 2021 variant.
