The iPhone 14 Pro might get a distinctive design upgrade, while purple hues could be introduced to all versions.
If a fresh set of renderings are to be trusted, the iPhone 14 Pro may have a distinct design from the other iPhone 14 models. In addition, the whole iPhone line might gain a shade of purple, which would be rather appealing.
Let’s start with the rumour about the iPhone 14 Pro’s design first. Ian Zelbo, a Front Page Tech render artist who writes for AppleTrack, predicts that the Pro model’s body and screen will have more rounded edges. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 basic model, and the speculated new iPhone 14 Max will all be left out of this update.
According to reports, this design tweak was made in order to match the back camera bump’s radius, which is expected to grow in size in order to accommodate a new 48MP primary camera sensor on the Pro versions.
It’s easy to observe this by looking at the rear of the regular iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 small. Even the Pro models aren’t like that however.
According to our iPhone 14 Pro versus iPhone 14 non-Pro preview, if this is accurate, there would be another another distinction between the two devices
Naturally, this time there will be a difference between the Pro and Max models, which is unexpected, but we’ll keep an eye out for the new design, which will be revealed on the Front Page Tech channel in the near future.
There is a new flash and a purple colour option.
According to a deleted Weibo post viewed by ShrimpApplePro and AppleTrack, as well as Twitter user SaranByte, we may be receiving a new purple colour option for the iPhone 14.
iPhone 14 will come in Midnight, Starlight and Product Red colours exactly like the iPhone 13, but with this new purple choice and the existing deeper blue tone being replaced with a sky blue hue.
Pro variants are expected to come in Graphite, Silver, and Gold, with a deeper purple, most likely with a matte surface like the others, also available.
On top of that, a new flash module design for the camera array in the rear is said to be in the works as well. According to rumours, a new iPhone flash will include two concentric circles instead of two circular lenses in the module. Even if this is the case, it’s not apparent why Apple would make such a move.
This year’s iPhone is expected to have a wide range of design tweaks, even if these recent reports are correct. As an example, we may expect to see a smaller bezel surrounding the display, along with the addition of a pill and punch-hole notch on the Pro versions.
Apple’s new flagship line isn’t due until September, so we won’t know for sure whether these reports are accurate for a few more months. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro hubs will keep you up to date on all the latest news and rumours.
