Newly discovered schematics for the next Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, released online by Max Weinbach, suggest that the upcoming high-end models might include a larger camera bump and a thicker overall design. According to schematics, this fall’s phone will still have a noticeable camera array.

iPhone 14 rumours and leaks to date

According to fresh schematics circulating the web, Apple’s next iPhone 14 Pro will not be following the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s lead and have an understated camera setup like that of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

On Twitter, Max Weinbach shared schematic images of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which reveal camera arrays on the rear of each model. Furthermore, the schematics show measurements for the Pro versions, yet both phones are thicker than their iPhone 13 equivalents.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro are expected to have a 7.85mm thickness based on the schematics. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have a thickness of 0.2mm less than this. While it may not seem like much, every additional millimetre counts when it comes to creating a phone that’s pleasant to handle and can easily be tucked away in a pocket.

There were earlier schematics for the iPhone 14 Pro, but Weinbach’s are more thorough and include dimensions for the next generation of Apple devices. iPhone 14 Pro Max will be somewhat smaller than the iPhone 13 Pro Max at 77.58 mm in width according to the schematics. The schematics also show that the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be virtually equal in height as the iPhone 13 Pro Max, measuring 160.7 mm as opposed to 160.8 mm in height.

According to this rumour, Apple’s Pro phones’ camera array will be both bigger and continue to extend outward from the rear. Both the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are claimed by Apple to measure 38.21 and 36.73 millimetres, respectively. The iPhone 13 Pro versions have an array that is somewhat taller than this one.

In the second batch of leaked blueprints, Apple’s rumoured iPhone 14 Pro would have a more prominent display. 91Mobiles’ alleged iPhone 14 renderings also show a camera array protruding from the rear of the phone.

With this latest set of plans, Apple’s Pro phones will retain their current size when the new versions are released this fall. According to the schematics, the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have the same proportions as the existing iPhone 13 Pro Max. It’s possible that the iPhone 14 Pro will be somewhat taller than the iPhone 13 Pro based on these measurements.

Other iPhone 14 rumours suggest that the Pro models will have more major features than the basic models, although no specifics have been revealed yet. Additionally, the iPhone 14 might include an upgraded camera system. Apple might possibly include USB-C ports in its Pro phones.

When the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are released, we won’t be able to tell whether they appear how the schematics depict them. But in the meanwhile, check out our iPhone 14 versus iPhone 14 Pro comparison page to discover the key rumoured differences between the two devices.

In contrast to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the two lower-end iPhone 14 models are said to still retain a notch similar to that on the iPhone 13 model. Apple’s “Pro” iPhones seem to be becoming more distinct from their lower-end counterparts, according to current reports.

Additionally, the high-end models may be the only ones to receive a new front display design and increased performance. According to well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the A16 Bionic processor will only be included in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, while the A15 chip from the iPhone 13 will stay in the other two iPhone 14 versions.

All of the iPhone 14 models are expected to get camera upgrades, and a new titanium casing, a vapour chamber heating system, and other new features are also probable. The most up-to-date information about the iPhone 14 is available in our roundup.
