Hey, Friends Welcome back to my Delicious Homemade Frittatas (Stovetop or Baked) Recipe. Learn How to Make Frittatas (Stovetop or Baked). Frittatas are the great go-to weekday supper or weekend brunch recipe. Frittatas also travel well, so bring them to picnics or pack them for work lunches. You can utilise leftover frittata in a variety of ways, like as a sandwich filling or breaking it up for quick breakfast tacos.

Delicious Homemade Frittatas (Stovetop or Baked) Recipe

Frittata is derived from the Italian word ‘friggere,’ which means ‘fried.’ It’s an egg dish that’s fried in a skillet. They are also known as crustless quiches.

Heat the oil in a pan to prepare the frittata. In a pan, cook the onions. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and ricotta, then season with salt, pepper, herbs, and sautéed onions. Melt the butter in a pan and add the egg mixture. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes once it’s finished cooking. After that, cut into pieces and serve.

Traditional Frittatas vs. Baked Frittatas

You’ll learn how to make conventional frittatas using the stovetop-to-oven skillet approach in my recipe. I used a moderate oven temperature (not the broiler) and recommend putting the frittata on the centre rack so you can keep an eye on it while it cooks. Life is too short to waste on burnt frittatas!

I’ve also included directions for making cooked frittatas (in a casserole dish or muffin tin), which are less time-consuming. If you need a make-ahead alternative or if your stovetop is otherwise occupied, the baked options are ideal.
