Because sales of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro are doing “very well,” Ross Young says that Apple will not release a small LED version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro in 2022.
In addition to claiming that Apple is making a “Studio Display Pro” using micro LEDs, analyst Ross Young claims that the company has decided to defer implementing the technology in the smaller iPad Pro.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that the 11-inch iPad Pro will get a tiny LED update in 2022.
DSCC analyst Ross Young believes that the tiny LED is a huge success with the iPad Pro’s 12.9-inch display. By delaying its implementation in the 11-inch model, this aspect of product distinction may be preserved.
However, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may postpone all new small LED gadgets until at least 2023 due to cost concerns.
That would include both the rumoured “Studio Display Pro” and the iPad Pro’s 11-inch screen.
