Until recently, Samsung had been releasing a slew of new software upgrades every few months; however, with the S22 series, the company has unveiled One UI 4.1, the latest version of its operating system. As of this writing, Samsung has released two further upgrades to this current version of the skin that it uses on its older smartphones.
This week, Samsung rolled out the feature-rich One UI 4.1.1 update to a number of its top and mid-range phones, including the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy A42, and Galaxy M52. The One UI 4.1.1 update includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.
For users of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G running software version G781BXXU4FVC2, the One UI 4.1 upgrade has begun to roll out. The upgrade is presently being rolled out in Poland, and more European and Asian regions are likely to get it in the coming weeks. The March 2022 security patch, which resolves 50 flaws, is also included in the updated version of the programme.
In this case, we’re discussing the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and the Galaxy Fold from 2013. This upgrade is presently being rolled out in Poland, but it is expected to spread to other European nations as soon as possible. G781BXXU4FVC2 is the new firmware version that contains the March 2022 security patch, which resolves over 50 vulnerabilities. So, it goes without saying that this one should be put in place as quickly as humanly feasible.
A One UI 4.1 update for the original Galaxy Fold from 2019 is now available in France for the 4G model and in the UK for the 5G version. There is a fresh build with the build number F90xxXXU6HVC6, where “xx” is different depending on the model. After a few weeks, the upgraded software will be available in additional European nations, just as it was with the Galaxy S20 FE.
However, you can always manually check for a new software update by navigating to Settings > Software update, even if you haven’t gotten a warning about it yet, if you have one of these three models (S20 FE 5G, Fold 4G, or Fold 5G).
Fixes for the GOS are included, as is the ability to use RAM Plus to customise the virtual memory size. With One UI 4.1, Material You colour palettes may be applied to the Galaxy Fold.
