A dual-port USB-C charger might be on the way from the corporation.
According to a leaked document uncovered by 9to5Mac, Apple is preparing to offer a dual-port 35W USB-C charger (opens in new tab). If this is the case, it would be the first dual-port charger from the firm. In light of how the current Apple brick charger only has one USB-C connector, this new charger would be a game changer—not to mention making your life simpler.
The source of this leak is intriguing: Specifically, Apple. An Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter was discovered in a support page that was subsequently pulled down by Apple, but not before 9to5Mac had a chance to have a look at it. The document said this:
In order to charge your smartphone, use the 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter and a USB-C cable (not included).” Using either of the power adapter’s USB-C ports, connect a USB-C cable, then extend the electrical prongs (if required) and secure the power adapter in the wall outlet. Connecting and unplugging from the power source should be as simple as possible. The other end of the wire should be connected to your gadget.
An iPhone 13 Pro Max and an Apple Watch, for example, may be charged at the same time with a 35W dual-port charger. Obviously, you aren’t limited to charge solely Apple items in this way.. All you need is a device with a USB-C connector in order to use this brick.
As the first 35W dual-port charger from the firm, this is not the first one to use gallium nitride (GaN) technology. The 140W power adapter that comes with the MacBook Pro 16-inch also employs a GaN charger, as noted by The Verge(opens in new tab).
