Magic UI 6 (Android 12) for the Honor 50 and 50 Lite

Magic UI 6.0 was pre-installed on both the Magic V and Magic4 Pro that we touched at MWC (based on Android 12). In spite of the fact that other Honor phones are still using the UI version 5.0, the business has announced plans to upgrade a small number of devices. However, keep in mind that this is just for China, and the worldwide rollout may not follow the same path.

This morning, we learned that the worldwide deployment of Magic UI 6.0 will begin with two models – the Honor 50 and the Honor 50 Lite – in Q2 (April-June) (July-September). Regular OTA distribution will take place.

No mention is made of the Honor 50 Pro and 50 SE; however, these devices aren’t available in every country yet (the 50 and 50 Lite have been in Europe since late October). It’s worth noting that the Chinese roadmap does not list any Honor 60 models, either; nonetheless, both the 50 and 60 series should be refreshed in Q2. They haven’t even been sent out yet from China.

Multiple enhancements have been made to multitasking and privacy, as well as the addition of Honor Share (which supports display, keyboard and mouse sharing between the phone and a laptop, plus easy file transfers between the two). Additionally, you may anticipate better wifi connection and lower RAM utilisation with GPU Turbo X.
