iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to be significantly different from the normal iPhone 14 series, and fresh renderings help us envision some of the big differences.

According to a source this week, the A16 Bionic processor will only Apple found in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 max, which indicates that the other two models, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, might be powered by the existing A15 Bionic chip seen in the iPhone 13.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects all four iPhone 14 models will include 6GB of RAM, up from the 4GB seen on iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 minis, among other improvements. However, the cheapest versions are expected to employ LPDDR 4X RAM, while the Pro variants are expected to feature LPDDR 5 RAM, which is quicker and more efficient.

For example, a pill-shaped cutout for Face ID in the iPhone 14 Pro’s design is expected to be replaced by the notch on the phone’s front and a camera hole on the back, according to rumoured reports. CAD renderings have been posted by 91Mobiles that promise to “show off the whole design” of this alleged prototype, which we’ve previously seen several renders of.

According to 9to5Mac, these images are based on “industry sources,” so we can’t be sure they’re true. So far we’ve heard a lot of rumours and leaks about it.

There is a new appearance for the iPhone 14 Pro

Toward the top left of the display, there’s a pill-shaped cutout that’s expected to house the phone’s selfie camera, and a smaller punch hole next to it. Additionally, the symmetrical bezels, which seem to be rather thin, are lauded by 91 Mobiles. But I really prefer the new notch over the one that swoops down from the front of the screen. If you’re watching a programme or a movie, it may be difficult to fill in these gaps using software.

The ringer switch, volume controls, and SIM card tray are all seen on the left side of these images. The power button may be seen on the right-hand side of the iPhone 14 Pro render.

The multiple cutouts on the iPhone 14 Pro renders may be controversial, but I much like them than Apple’s sweeping notch.

The back of the design is “very similar” to that of the iPhone 13 Pro, which is surprising. The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a flush back camera, and that’s what we expected Apple to go with on the next iPhone. There is another significant and noticeable camera bump in these images, though. This is home to an LED flash and microphone in addition to the three cameras that are seen.

As for the iPhone 14 Pro’s display, 91Mobiles says it will retain the same 6.1-inch resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. A 6.7-inch screen is expected on the iPhone 14 Pro Max as well. Whether the iPhone 14 Pro phones have taller screens, we don’t know if it would alter the dimension or if it only pertains to the aspect ratio or the absence of a notch.

According to reports, the iPhone 14 Pro’s camera and USB-C port might be upgraded to 48MP and USB-C respectively. However, rumours suggest that the 48MP lens may be put on hold.
