Chandigarh: According to an autopsy report on the body of slain Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala, he had 19 bullet wounds and would have died in 15 minutes. He was killed by unknown assailants on Sunday in the district of Manda in Punjab after the state administration had reduced his protection.
Moosewala, a 28-year-old man from Jawahar Ke village, was shot by the intruders after they had robbed his vehicle. Thirty empty cigarette cases were seized at the scene, and at least three weapons were involved. Moosewala’s autopsy was performed by a team of five doctors. The autopsy report stated that the singer died ‘within 15 minutes’ after the incident.
The cause of death for Sidhu Moosewala was listed as “hemorrhagic shock.”
Hemorrhagic shock caused by pre-mortem gunshot wounds was the cause of death, the report stated. In accordance with the findings, Moosewala’s right side was the most severely wounded of the body parts. For the purpose of looking for any possible projectiles, a full-body X-ray was also carried out. It stated that Moosewala’s red T-shirt and payjama had blood stains and numerous holes equivalent to the injuries.

In Jawahar Ke village on Sunday evening, Moosewala’s car was being followed by a Corolla, according to a video that was posted on social media. Gunfire rang out from both vehicles after a Bolero stopped in front of Moosewala’s Thar and both drivers opened fire.
Moosewala’s murder was ascribed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to the Punjab police, who called it an inter-gang dispute. Goldy Brar, a Bishnoi gang member based in Canada, claimed responsibility for the killing.
Police believe that the killing of Moosewala was revenge for the assassination of Akali leader Vicky Middukhera last year. In the murder of Middukhera, the name of Moosewala’s manager Shaganpreet was mentioned.
