According to Ice Universe, the display crease on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 could be lot less noticeable (opens in new tab). Even while this leaker has hinted at it before, they now have photographs to back up their claims about the anticipated Z Fold 4.

Galaxy Z Fold 4’s crease is still visible, but it’s far less pronounced than the canyon-like seam in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3’s display. Much with information on the screen, the Z Fold 4’s screen’s shorter dip will likely be even harder to spot.

Even at launch, the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s crease was obvious, but given that it’s currently at the top of our list of the best foldable phones, it’s an acceptable flaw. However, with the fourth generation of the Galaxy Fold on the horizon, it’s time for Samsung to start ironing out its foldables’ creases.

Assuming the photographs posted by IU are authentic, it may be a sign that Samsung has taken some design cues from competing foldables like the Honor Magic V and the Oppo Find N. As a result of the hinge design on these foldables, the inside displays have considerably less noticeable creases, and Samsung may have incorporated this for its own use in the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

There have been further reports that Samsung may offer the Z Fold 4 a camera upgrade, with three back sensors like the Galaxy S22. The new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 CPU may also be used for a speed gain over the Galaxy S22 series as well as the Z Fold 3, and a little larger, shorter form factor for more comfortable use.

Depending on the timing, we could see the phone unveiled on August 10 with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. Our rumor hubs for these and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will keep you up to date on all the newest leaks and rumors, so be sure to check them out in the interim!
