Samsung Galaxy A13 hand on review

Galaxy A13 is the newest entry-level phone in Samsung’s A series, the Samsung Galaxy A13. Samsung’s flagships may be expensive, but the business also produces a wide range of high-quality devices that don’t cost a fortune.

Galaxy A13 5G is another example of a smartphone that performs all you would want it to do and often better than you would expect a cheap smartphone to do it for under $250 dollars. For those who don’t want to spend more money on a more expensive phone, the A13 5G is an excellent option.

At under €190 for the 4/64GB variant, the Galaxy A13 is a basic phone that offers a respectable combination of features, a focus on display and battery life, at an economical starting price.

I think the Galaxy A13 is a nice looking phone. There are no cuts or features on the plastic body of the phone, which gives it a basic appearance. In some ways, it’s reminiscent of the unabashedly plastic iPhone 5c from a few of years ago.

If I were to ask someone to create a generic Android phone, the A13’s design would seem about the same. The 6.5-inch display is surrounded by bezels so thick they’ll be obsolete by the year 2022. A teardrop notch and an extra-thick chin complete the front.

For the price, the display is rather impressive. The display is a 6.6-inch 1080p PLS LCD with no fancy refresh rate. However, it’s fantastic; it’s vivid, vibrant, and razor-sharp. Under some circumstances, it may pass for a budget OLED.

There aren’t many surprises here since you’re receiving One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11. Optional edge panels provide additional shortcuts and the ability to multitask by placing applications in small windows, as is standard for Samsung devices

However, just using the Galaxy A13 reveals its low-end status. If you’re looking for a quick phone, this one isn’t it. It was very sluggish and unresponsive when it was first installed.

In all, the Galaxy A13 boasts three cameras on the back: a 50-megapixel main sensor and two 2-megapixel secondary sensors, one of which is dedicated to macro work and the other to depth perception. In excellent lighting, the main camera produces passable photos. You can see exquisite detail like a watercolour painting when you zoom in on this camera’s 50 megapixels. Uncropped images taken in well-lit environments are more than suitable for sharing on social media.

With 4GB of RAM and the Exynos 850 CPU, this is to be anticipated

Even though it has an 8nm processor, the Exynos 850 and 5,000mAh battery should deliver respectable battery life.

The camera, particularly the primary one, is another area where we anticipate a significant return on the fair pricing. It’s a 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture, so it should be remarkable at this price range. We’re crossing our fingers that the processor can handle the increased resolution.

I’m surprised by how much I like this phone. Compared to other phones in this price range, its cameras aren’t awful at all, and its performance is excellent (well, the primary one, anyway). Because of this, it is also receiving lengthier updates than many other phones, including those that cost as much as Google’s new Pixel 5A.

To be honest, I’d like a better-looking screen and the build quality makes me doubt how well it would hold up to heavy usage. However, given the phone’s low price, the difficulties I have with it pale in comparison. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is one of your finest alternatives today if you’re looking for a new phone for around $250.
