Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Max will use the A16 processor, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will use the A15 Bionic processor from the iPhone 13 series.

All four devices will have 6GB of RAM, however the Pros will have LPDDR5, while the other two will have LPDDR4X. This is another distinction.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Pro, as well as the iPhone 14 Max and 14 Pro Max, are preparing for a change to a duopoly of display sizes. The current, second-generation iPhone 13 tiny is the last of its sort, at least for the time being.

Apple’s decision to make the A16 processor exclusive may have been motivated by the persistent chip scarcity, according to Kuo.

Even if some of Apple’s competitors release chips that are faster, the A15 Bionic won’t be an advantage for the next generation of iPhones.
