Season 5 of Yellowstone promises to bring us more of the Dutton family saga.

Season 5 of Yellowstone is already in full swing! Filming has begun in Montana for the Paramount Network’s upcoming drama series. Season 5 of Yellowstone will feature 14 episodes, making it the longest in the show’s history. As a result, fans may expect a larger than usual serving of the Dutton family tale.

One of the most popular television shows is Yellowstone. In Live+Same Day ratings, the season 4 finale drew 9.3 million viewers, a new series high. An unprecedented surge in interest spawned the Paramount Plus prequel Yellowstone 1883 and another proposed spinoff, 6666.

Yellowstone has been likened to “Succession on a ranch” because of its complex family dynamics and corporate interests (though resulting in fewer memes). Kevin Costner’s John Dutton is as cruel as Logan Roy’s patriarch, Logan Dutton. Particularly in the tense relationship between Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and her adoptive brother Jamie, there are clear parallels (Wes Bentley). Shades of Shiv and Roman, oh my!

Yellowstone, on the other hand, depicts real bloodshed, as opposed to the backstabbing found in Succession. There is blood on the hands of all the characters. There’s no doubt that the following instalment will be just as violent, if not more so.

Rumors about the premiere date for Yellowstone season 5

TVLine revealed in February 2022 that Paramount Network has officially renewed Yellowstone for a fifth season. We’ll get to more casting news in the following paragraphs.

Yellowstone’s upcoming fifth season will have more episodes than any prior iteration. However, the two seven-episode batches will be split into two separate groups.

The first batch is expected to arrive when? The first three seasons of Yellowstone premiered around Father’s Day in June of each year. While season 4 was originally scheduled to premiere in November 2021, the epidemic scuppered that plan.

The fifth season of Yellowstone will air in the fall of 2022, according to executive producer David Glasser. It’s possible that season 5 will be released in November, following season 4’s release date.

The cast of Yellowstone season 5

There has been no formal announcement of the cast for Yellowstone season 5, but the majority of the main players are expected to return.

Of course, Kevin Costner’s portrayal of John Dutton, the patriarch of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, is at the very top of the list.

In order from left to right, we have actors portraying John Dutton’s three children: Luke Grimes as John’s son Kayce, a former US Navy SEAL, Kelly Reilly as John’s daughter Beth, a banker, and Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, an attorney and aspiring politician who was adopted by John.

The following individuals are also anticipated to return:

Kayce Dutton’s wife, Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton, Kayce and Monica’s son, Gil Birmingham as Chief Thomas Rainwater, the chief of the nearby Indian tribe, Jacki Weaver as Caroline Warner and Summer Higgins, the CEO of Market Equities Piper Perabo as Summer Higgins, an environmental activist and John’s love interest Forrie J. Smith as Lloyd Pierce, a senior ranc.
Cast members Jefferson White, who plays Jimmy Hurdstrom, and Ryan Bingham, who plays Walker, a former prisoner, are slated to join the planned spinoff 6666.

The renewal of Yellowstone for a fifth season was accompanied by two cast changes. There are now regular roles for Emily and Teeter in the show.

Plan for Season 5 of Yellowstone

Season 5 of Yellowstone should take up where the season 4 finale left off (find out how to watch Yellowstone online to catch up).

The most significant development is the death of Jamie’s original father, Garrett Randall, the mastermind behind the assassination attempts on his adoptive father and his brothers and sisters. But Beth happened to be there and snapped him while he was disposing of the body. A warning from his sister is all that is left for him to hear. John is later informed that Jamie belongs to him.

This is bad news for his gubernatorial campaign, since he now has a lot to lose. As far as I can see, John has a clear path to become the next president.

Market Equities will most likely be attacked by Beth using Jamie as a pawn. By firing Beth Warner, the company’s CEO Caroline Warner promised to turn the family’s property into an open-air bathroom.

He has since returned from his spirit adventure, which finished by giving him a choice to make. Perhaps he will step forwards as the heir to the ranch or perhaps he will go another way. Kayce tells Monica, “I glimpsed the end of us” when he returns home.

John, on the other hand, was annoyed that Summer, an activist and one-night stand, was sentenced to a lengthy prison term in court. However, he pledged to help her appeal. And soon, perhaps, he’ll be in a position to do so in a more forceful political way.
