In addition to the 12 Ultra, which is expected to be unveiled next month, Xiaomi is rumored to be working on two other high-end smartphones. We’re referring to the 12S and 12S Pro, both of which have already appeared on Geekbench and in a hands-on shot.

Leica’s name was shown in the first photograph, and now a new rumor has thrown light on additional aspects of the camera. The 12S is expected to be available in three RAM/storage configurations: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/512GB. Newly revealed Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the 12S.

This phone is expected to come in two flavors: one with the same chipset as the 12S, and one with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000. When it comes to RAM/storage options, the 12S gets the same choices as its sibling, whereas the 12/512GB option is only available on the 12S. Lastly, the 12S Pro’s Snapdragon version is expected to have 120W fast charging like the 12 Pro.

According to what we know so far, the 12S and Pro versions appear to be modest modifications designed to capitalize on the Leica alliance buzz, not much more than that. We should hold off on making any final decisions until we get access to more complete information.
