When does it go live on April 27?
Xiaomi has finally revealed that its flagship phone, the Xiaomi 12 Pro, will be on sale in India on April 27th after months of teasing.
The smartphone manufacturer announced the launch date of the forthcoming device through Twitter(opens in new tab). Even though there are three phones in the Xiaomi 12 series now, the firm hasn’t said whether or not all three phones will be released at once.
To refresh your memory, the Xiaomi 12 series was initially unveiled in China in December and has only now made its way outside.
Rumor has it that the gadget will have almost similar specs and features as the international model. After its release, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will compete with phones like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, OnePlus 10 Pro and Realme GT 2, as well as the Moto Edge 30 and Moto Z3 Pro.

There is a $999 beginning price for the smartphone in worldwide markets, which is a lot more expensive than the retail price in China.
Internal price is nearly equivalent to Rs 76,300 when translated. To compete with the Realme GT 2 Pro, the phone may be priced aggressively in India.
In order to compete with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series, we believe Xiaomi would undercut Samsung’s phones rather than Realme’s flagship smartphone. However, Xiaomi has been attempting to promote itself as a brand capable of creating market-leading flagship devices.
There has been no official word about the Xiaomi 12 Lite as of this writing.
In addition to the aforementioned three gadgets, the Xiaomi 12 Lite seems to be making the rounds recently as a less expensive phone.
In comparison to the other three phones, this one is believed to be a lot more basic handset with a lower retail price. Rumor has it that the 12-inch Xiaomi 12 Lite would be released in India at the same time as the 12-inch Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, we’ll have to wait for official approval before we can proceed.

We already know the specs of the phone assuming it brings what we’ve seen in the Chinese version. There is a 6.73-inch WQHD E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB of internal storage in the top-of-the-line model. Using Android 12 as a foundation, the smartphone will run MIUI 13.
We may see a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera in the camera area. For video calls and selfies, the gadget may include a 32MP camera on the front. We may expect this phone to outshine its rivals in terms of photography performance.
