WPP and Epic Games join to build the metaverse

With the help of Epic Games and WPP, agencies in the metaverse will be able to provide digital experiences for their clients in order to accelerate the growth of the metaverse.

Because of the rise of mainstream brands and companies, metaverse is no longer a concept. To put it simply, the Metaverse is a digital world in which people are represented by digital avatars.

However, the main difference is that it’s all taking place in the real world rather than a virtual one. While Epic Games has long been promoting the idea through its Fortnite concerts and collaborations, the company is now looking to do the same on a much larger scale with this new initiative.

As recently as last week, WPP, the British firm that specialises in everything from marketing and advertising to public relations and technology, announced a partnership with Epic Games “to speed up innovation for clients in the metaverse.”

Additionally, the company provided details about this new partnership and how metaverse will benefit them and their customers.

As a leading proponent of a networked virtual environment, Epic Games has been able to garner financing from major corporations like Sony and KIRKBI for their metaverse endeavours.

When it comes to creating new digital experiences for companies in the metaverse, the Fortnite creators have joined up with WPP. A new training programme for WPP creatives and engineers to learn how to develop personalised brand experiences in Fortnite and how to utilise Unreal Engine for real-time 3D design and virtual production is part of this cooperation, according to the statement.

It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more businesses getting involved in games through tailored experiences in the near future. Further clarifying this is Epic Games’ Vice President of Metaverse Development Matthew Henick, who says the following: “The collaboration between Epic, WPP, its clients and the creator community will accelerate the development of diverse social entertainment experiences that players around the world will enjoy.”

Fortnite, Unreal Engine, and 3D markets like Sketchfab may be utilised by Epic Games to educate more companies and artists on how to make their metaverse concepts a reality via this new cooperation, says Henick.

SuperAwesome will assist WPP in learning more about internet safety and privacy so that it may better serve its advertising aimed at children and teenagers.
