An official tweet from Netflix after the video was uploaded indicates that the Stranger Things season 4 countdown is the time until we receive a new teaser.
While we’re all eagerly awaiting the next season of Stranger Things, Netflix is focusing on something else entirely. The official Stranger Things YouTube account has launched a new live stream that you can watch right now. We’ve linked the video below. In addition, Netflix has officially promised a final-day treat for subscribers (details below).
An old grandfather clock is featured in the live broadcast, which is labelled “IT’S ALMOST TIME | CREEL CLOCK LIVESTREAM.” A digital clock sits at the top. The timer in the lower right corner of the screen is synced with that clock.
Until tomorrow (Tuesday, April 12) at 10 a.m. ET/7:00 a.m. PST/3:30 BST, the countdown is on.
The Creel House, a creepy structure that’s been extensively featured in the promotion of the new season, is expected to include this clock as one of the centrepieces of the new season.
To top it all off, we know exactly where this is taking place according to the coordinates provided by the official Twitter account for Stranger Things (@Stranger Things). In Santa Monica, California, the address is 274 Santa Monica Boulevard
Smoke billows from the rear of the clock as the water in the stream takes on a bright purple tinge. The clock faces on the front of the clock are sometimes warped and skewed by visual effects.
Men in lab coats with logos we can’t make out, whose voices we can’t hear, are scrutinising the clock as well.

What is Netflix’s Stranger Things livestream all about, and why is it so interesting?
Since the Stranger Things season 4 release dates are rapidly approaching — May 27 for volume 1 and July 1 for volume 2 — it seems that a complete trailer for the next season is imminent. It’s time for Netflix to hop on the “Stranger Things 4 final trailers” bandwagon. It would have been possible to announce the episode names at this point. But we’ve previously learned about them.
The countdown looks to be leading up to the release of a trailer at the very least. Stranger Things 4’s trailer will be released tomorrow, according to the Netflix Twitter account(opens in new tab).
Netflix, of course, may be working on something different. For now, fresh video or teasers of the Creel House are all that’s needed to bring the countdown to an end.
That said, the only way to know for sure what’s going to happen is to see a final trailer.
