As an entry into China’s fast-growing foldable industry, the vivo X Fold is here to help you out.

In light of the multiple leaks in the weeks preceding up to this event, there are no surprises here. Displays of 6.53-inch AMOLED on the outside and 8.03-inch LTPO2 on the inside of the vivo X Fold. With the primary one being able to slow down to 1Hz at any time of day, both are HDR10+ ready and run at 120Hz.

SCHOTT UTG (Schott makes Samsung’s UTG) is used in the foldable display. Display Mate has given it an A+ rating, which is the highest possible rating. There are two fingerprint scanners built inside the vivo X Fold’s display. Neither scanner is an optical one; they are both ultrasonic.

The hinge is a floating wing hinge of aircraft quality. Flattens and maintains the vivo X Fold’s 60-120 degree angle of openness while it’s closed.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and 12GB of RAM power the vivo X Fold. Recharging is fast because to the 4,600mAh battery. The battery may be recharged in 37 minutes using the 66W provided by the cord. Additionally, the vivo X Fold is able to wirelessly charge at up to 50W and simultaneously reverse wirelessly charge at 10W.

Compared to Samsung’s Galaxy foldables, the cameras are of the highest quality. There is a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS in front of a Samsung GN5 sensor, a 12MP f/2.4 2x (47mm) zoom camera, a 5x periscope zoom camera (with 60x digital zoom), and a 48MP f/2.2 114-degree ultrawide camera. It’s clear that vivo is serious about these cameras because of the Zeiss logo on the camera module itself. Motion Capture 3.0, Zeiss Super Night Scene, Zeiss Nature Color, and more modes are available from Zeiss.

Inside and out, the X Fold has two selfie cameras that can be used simultaneously.

On the inner display’s wider canvas, you may run two programmes simultaneously. Floating windows may also be used to enhance your multitasking experience. It has a waist-level viewfinder that divides the screen in an L-shape for shooting at waist level. The vivo X Fold’s long-exposure mode may also be used on a flat surface.

For the time being, the vivo X Fold will only be available in China. For CNY 8,999 (€1,300/$1,415), it will be available in Black, Blue, and Grey.
