1. OPEN OUTLOOK IN SAFE MODE

If you’ve been using Outlook add-ins to improve its functionality, one of them may be blocking Outlook from opening normally. You may test this by starting Outlook in Safe Mode.

To launch Outlook in Safe Mode, hold down the CTRL key when double-clicking the Outlook shortcut.

Windows will prompt you if you wish to run Outlook in safe mode. To confirm, click Yes.

If Outlook is running well in Safe Mode, you will need to disable all add-ins and restart the software. This is how.

Step 1: Click on the File menu at the top.

If you are unable to launch Outlook even in Safe Mode, you can use the Microsoft Office repair tool to assist you.

3. DISABLE COMPATIBILITY MODE

If you can’t start Outlook in Safe Mode, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Outlook app instead.

6. RUN SFC SCAN

Another reason you might have problems opening apps and programmes on Windows 11 is if your computer’s system files are corrupted. Fortunately, you may repair those system files by using SFC. This is how.

Step 1: Right-click on the Start menu icon and select Windows Terminal (admin) from the resulting menu.

8. CREATE A NEW OUTLOOK ACCOUNT

Your Outlook settings are stored in your PC’s Outlook profile. If Windows is unable to access that profile, you can build a new profile and use it to launch Outlook.
