Season three of The Umbrella Academy: What we know thus far
Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy is going to be a roller coaster, and it’s about to begin. Showrunner Steve Blackman had previously promised “a wilder, bolder, zanier season than ever before.” Netflix has announced the release date for the upcoming chapter. Elliot Page, the show’s creator, announced that a well-known figure would be appearing under a new moniker.
Several fresh faces have been added to the cast as the opposing Sparrows. And an unnamed Euphoria star is also on board.
After a season in which the Hargreeves were stranded in 1960s Dallas, the action will pick up here. They were able to overcome the Handler and return to the current day. When they returned, however, they found that things had changed drastically.
There were no children adopted by Hargreeves save for Ben in the parallel current day since they had disclosed their identity in Dallas. Ben is now a member of a new Hargreeves super gang, nicknamed the Sparrows, which he helped form.
According to Blackman, the family has a lot of “really huge surprises” for him this year. “There are a lot of exciting new features that people will be eager to explore,” he says.
To which he quickly added, “It’s going to be a crazy season!”

Release date for the third season of Umbrella Academy
The third season of The Umbrella Academy will premiere on Netflix on June 22.
The third season of the Umbrella Academy will have 10 episodes, Netflix announced in November 2020. Toronto, Canada, will host the first production start in February 2021. At the end of August, production came to an end.
Introducing Viktor Hargreeves, a new character in the third season of Umbrella Academy
Superhero siblings can go under different names for various reasons. Viktor Hargreeves is the new name given to Vanya by Elliot Page, who publicised it on social media.
When Umbrella Academy season 2 premiered in December 2020, Page declared that he was transgender, months after the announcement. Now that Page’s transition has been confirmed, fans can be certain that his character will likewise transition. However, it’s not clear whether the shift will be a whole narrative or only stated off-screen.
Stars in the third season of Umbrella Academy
Javon Walton has joined the cast of The Umbrella Academy (who plays Ashtray in Euphoria). There was no mention of his participation in the announcement, which he made to Complex.
The Hargreeves siblings will be represented in the cast of the third season of the Umbrella Academy:
- Elliot Page portrays Vanya or Number Seven, a character with the ability to use sound waves to unleash a deadly force.
- Who possesses tremendous strength and the upper body of an ape? Tom Hopper Luther, or “Number One.”
- When David Castaneda takes on the role of Diego, dubbed “Number Two,” he shows off his impressive throwing prowess.
- With the remark, “I heard a rumour,” Emmy Raver-Lampman plays Allison alias Number Three, a mind control expert.
- Klaus nicknamed Number Four, played by Robert Sheehan, is a character who has the ability to converse with the dead and temporarily bring them back to life.
- Who can travel across space and time? Aidan Gallagher as Number Five
- Ben nicknamed Number Six, who can deploy enormous tentacles from his body, is played by Justin H. Min.
Netflix has announced that in addition to the seven Hargreeves brothers, we’ll meet two additional relatives and close friends.
Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a millionaire entrepreneur who adopted the siblings, is played by Colm Feore. As Lila Pitts, the Handler’s adoptive daughter and Diego’s lover, he is revealed to be an extraterrestrial lifeform Ritu Arya in Season 2.
Many supporting characters from the previous two seasons may also appear in the third season. Previously deceased figures have been able to come up after the siblings’ return to an altered timeline (more on that below). It’s possible that we’ll see some of the people Klaus sees in flashbacks, visions, or as ghosts. Included are:
- Jordan Claire Robbins, who played Grace Hargreeves, the robot mother of the Hargreeves children in season one and Reginald’s human lover in season two
- Pogo, Reginald’s chimpanzee helper, is played by Adam Godley and Ken Hall. Godley is in charge of the voice and face motion capture, while Hall is in charge of the body.
- The Handler, the head of the Commission, is played by Kate Walsh.
- Blige plays a Commission agent named Cha-Cha in the film
- In the role of Hazel, a Commission agent and Cha-companion, Cha’s Cameron Britton
- Sheila McCarthy is Hazel’s love interest, Agnes Rofa, the waitress.
- It is Ashley Madekwe who plays the detective Eudora Patch and Cody Ray Thompson who portrays the Vietnam War veteran and love interest of Klaus, respectively.
- Ken Hall as Herb, a Commission employee who is currently acting as the agency’s interim director.
- Patrice Goodman portrays Dot, a Commission employee, in the film.
- Marin Ireland in 1963 as Vanya’s fling Sissy Cooper Dallas
- Gatewood portrayed Raymond Chestnut, Allison’s husband in 1963, on “The Andy Griffith Show.” Dallas
- Harlan Cooper, the little son of Sissy and Vanya Cooper, is played by Justin Paul Kelly.
The new Sparrows in Umbrella Academy season 3 have also been revealed, along with their character descriptions, according to Netflix.
This Ben (Sparrow #2) has been characterised as “scheming, tactical, and ruthless, anxious to attain his position of leadership.”
The following are his Sparrow cousins:
- Marcus (Sparrow #1) is a charismatic, sculpted, and behemoth of a leader who radiates confidence and keeps the family together.
- Fei (Sparrow #3) is portrayed by Britne Oldford, who has a unique perspective on life. Her intelligence and willingness to compromise make her an excellent negotiator, but once you cross her, there’s no going back.
- Alphonso (Sparrow #4), a scarred crime-fighter with a caustic and cutting sense of humour who likes verbally berating his adversaries, nearly as much as he enjoys a delicious pizza and a six-pack of beer, is Jake Epstein’s character in this issue.
- Sexiest woman in the world, Sloane (Sparrow #5), is played by Genesis Rodriguez. But even if she feels tethered to her family’s intentions, Sloane may just go through with them.
- It would be smart to avoid Cazzie David’s Jayme (Sparrow #6) at all costs because of her fear-inducing snarl. Her lack of verbal interaction is due to the fact that she is not required to do so.
- It’s terrifying to contemplate the future. When activated, the Psykronium Cube (Sparrow #7) may freeze the room and produce paralysing terror without notice. The oracle of the Sparrows is regarded as if she were simply another member of the family.
Titles for the third season of The Umbrella Academy
He unveiled the 10 episode titles for season 3 of Umbrella Academy during Netflix’s Geeked Week fan event. They’re:

- 307: Auf Wiedersehen
- 308: Wedding at the End of the World

Fans of the comic books will recognise the name “Marigold” and the term “Kugelblitz” (a black hole generated by radiation rather than matter).
Interestingly, Blackman’s “major” episode 308 refers to a wedding as the very first Umbrella Academy episode, “We Only See Each Other at Weddings and Funerals,” was named “We Only See Each Other.”

Don’t trust anybody who tells you differently about the upcoming Umbrella Academy season 3 trailer.
How soon can we expect Netflix to release a trailer or at the very least a teaser? Even if we have to wait until a few weeks before the debut, it’s feasible that we’ll have to wait until next year.
In the meanwhile, Netflix has put together a teaser film of a panel discussion with the actors. When it comes to this season’s script, Page claims he was “surprised,” while Raver-Lampman adds, “I honestly have no clue what’s going on at the end, that’s the first time I’ve been in it and shooting and not knowing what the final objective is. “It’s wonderful, and I’m all in.”
Season 3 of Umbrella Academy and the narrative of Sparrow Academy
With the huge cliffhanger from season 2, the third season of The Umbrella Academy will have a lot to digest. So, first and foremost, let’s go over what occurred at the end of the film.
It everything comes to a head on November 22nd, 1963 with the grand finale (aka the day JFK was assassinated). As Number Five had already observed, the siblings had prevented the Doomsday cataclysm. Vanya has again proved to be “the bomb.” As a result, they were able to neutralise her, unlike in their present-day scenario. Ben diffused the situation. Vanya was talked down by a ghost Ben who fused with her. Sadly, he was forced to sacrifice himself, and his soul was taken from us.
As Vanya had found out, some of her power had been consumed by Sissy’s kid, Harlan, the Hargreeve siblings headed over to her property. Vanya attempts to calm him down, but the Handler turns up with an army of Commission agents to eliminate the siblings once and for all.
To save herself and Lila, Vanya uses her powers to destroy the whole army. Lila has a special ability, too! She has the ability to take on the form of any of her siblings and use their abilities against them (think Rogue in X-Men).
Lila, however, is being persuaded by her brothers, headed by Diego, to join them. Handler conspired to kill Lila’s parents, took her, and is now using Lila to achieve an ulterior motive. They claim. Diego begs Lila to join him and his wife in their home. When she begins to doubt herself, the Handler shoots them all dead with one shot. Later, the last Swedish killer appears and ends her life.
Number Five makes it out of the ordeal alive and recalls instructions from his father about rewinding time minute by minute and a second at a time. As a result, he goes back in time. When the Handler arrives, he immediately grabs her pistol. Nevertheless, the assassin shows up and kills the Handler. The assassin exits after he and Number Five have a face-to-face. It seems that the siblings have been taken care of.
As soon as Herb from the Commission shows there, the Hargreeves are allowed to return to their own timeframe with a bag. Before they leave, Vanya says her goodbyes to Sissy in a tearful farewell and reclaims some of Harlan’s authority (or so she thinks).
Using the suitcase’s time portal, the siblings go back in time to April 2, 2019. The initial apocalypse looks to have been avoided, since the family estate is still standing and the world hasn’t come to an abrupt end.
Despite this, they discover a strange transformation in the home, as well as their deceased father, Reginald! How did he survive? The Sparrow Academy is the name he gives to a collection of enigmatic characters. Apparently the Umbrella Academy does not exist!
And to top it all off, Ben shows up! He has grown out his hair and has a scar on his face, and he has a new appearance. In this new present-day timeline, Klaus can see him, but he’s not a ghost. His siblings are also a mystery to him.
There you have it. What happened in Dallas in 1963, as in most cases, seemed to be influenced by the brothers’ time travel.
Remember how 43 ladies who weren’t pregnant gave birth at the same time and in an unexpected way? Seven of them were taken in by Reginald. It seems that Reg has opted to adopt new children after seeing the adult versions of his children in 1963. Even though he never saw Ghost Ben in 1963, he still adopted Ben.
I can’t understand time travel, but I can’t imagine writing a superhero narrative without it.
