The Nothing Phone may be on its way soon. An online countdown clock for Carl Pei’s Nothing firm hints that we’ll learn more on March 23. In 2022, “find out what’s coming up,” says the teaser on Nothing’s homepage.
As many of you are aware, Pei was a co-founder of the smartphone manufacturer OnePlus until he departed in 2020 to launch his own business, Nothing. It was hinted at when Nothing introduced its debut product last year, a set of wire-free earphones known as the Nothing Ear (1).
In Nothing’s March 23 webcast, we’ll learn exactly what those items are. Nothing’s “The Truth” event begins at 2 p.m. GMT today and promises to spell out the company’s product roadmap. Since Daylight Saving Time will have begun in the United States by then, it would be 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT.
A new phone, according to many experts, will be at the top of the list of Nothing items. Since last week, TechCrunch has been reporting about a forthcoming gadget that is expected to be released before the end of this month. In the same storey, it was alleged that Pei had previously shown a prototype to executives. As early as February, when Pei tweeted that he was “back on Android,” the general public believed this to mean that he was working on a new phone.
