The New Look, a Christian Dior-centered thriller, has been announced for Apple TV+

An all-new Apple TV+ thriller series explores the rise of Christian Dior to the position of world-renowned fashion designer during World War II and Nazi occupation of Paris.

Ben Mendelsohn and Juliette Binoche will feature in a new series for Apple Studios, which will be shot in Paris. He is most recognised for his work on Damages and The Sopranos. “The New Look” is written by Todd A. Kessler. In addition to directing and producing, Kessler will also serve as executive producer.

An Apple press release describes “The New Look” as a live-action Globe War II drama “that focused on the key time in the twentieth century when Paris brought the world back to life via its fashion icon, Christian Dior” (played by Mendelsohn).

Dior’s contemporary and adversary Balmain, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, and more will be intertwined throughout the storey, according to Apple, “including the grand dame Coco Chanel (played by Binoche) and more.”

There has been no announcement of a release or streaming date for this film.
