The new integration is still in the works, but it should be available to users of mobile email clients by the end of the month.

Because many employees still prefer to work from home rather than return to the office, the volume of emails sent and received is at an all-time high. According to Statista’s most recent data, 319.6 billion emails are transmitted per day, up from 306.4 billion in 2020.

With so many of us sending so many emails, mistakes are certain to happen – sometimes embarrassingly or even disastrously.

Although Microsoft Editor feature has been available in Outlook on the desktop for some time, the addition of spelling and grammar checks to the mobile client should help to reduce the chances of typos and other errors.

In a similar line, Microsoft recently revealed that text predictions will be available in Outlook for Android and iOS. The text predictions tool not only improves productivity for users who are in a rush, but it also helps to eliminate linguistic problems in emails.

This set of changes also caters to the huge number of employees who have switched to a hybrid working paradigm, in which they split their time between home, office, and anywhere else. With the partial resumption of the commute, a greater number of individuals are expected to use Outlook mobile clients, benefiting from the new features Microsoft is introducing.
