Will Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue’s tales of love and friendship be expanded upon when the show returns Sweet Magnolias?
Will there be margaritas in season 3 of Sweet Magnolias? Netflix hasn’t confirmed the show’s renewal yet, but it’s a safe bet that it will. When it premiered on February 4, Season 2 was one of Netflix’s most popular series in the United States. Many people will enjoy this beautiful storey of friendship and romance, which has a wealth of historical and literary precedents to draw upon.
It is based on Sherryl Woods’ eleven novels of the same name. Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), a recently divorced attorney, Helen (Heather Headley), and chef Dana Sue (Danielle Panabaker) are three South Carolina women who have been close friends since childhood (Brooke Elliott). They meet once a week to drink and get up on the goings-on in their personal lives, families, and work.
A health spa was opened in their town by the three of them. Their efforts to oust Serenity’s corrupt mayor are also featured in season 2. If there is a third season, the female characters will undoubtedly rely on each other more than ever to overcome the challenges they will face.

Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias has not yet been ordered by Netflix, but it seems that it will.
Season 2 premiered on Netflix a few days ago, and it quickly rose to the top of the U.S. Top 10 list. Since then, it’s become a popular show for spectators. From the 6th to the 13th of February, Sweet Magnolias received 58,150,000 hours of viewing time, placing it second in the charts. Those numbers aren’t too far behind the audience of Virgin River, another female-driven, romance-heavy drama.
In order to compose the screenplays for Sweet Magnolias season 3, the authors will need time. A three- to four-month time commitment is expected for the filming process. Season 3 is unlikely to debut until at least spring 2023.
Conjecture over who will play Sweet Magnolias in season 3
Sullivans’ head chef, Dana Sue Sullivan, is played by Brooke Elliott; attorney Helen Decatur is played by Heather Headley; and JoAnna Garcia Swisher plays Maddie Townsend, a former stay-at-home parent now helping operate the Corner Spa.
Without them, it’s difficult to envision a third season. The cast members that portray the characters’ families, friends, love interests, business partners, and other residents of Serenity are expected to join the three.

A third season of Sweet Magnolias is anticipated to take up on various loose ends that were left in the ending of season two.
Some (but not all) of Cal’s prior anger management concerns had been previously mentioned to Maddie by the school. The only time Cal doesn’t beat someone up is when a fan comes to Sullivan’s and behaves in a menacing way, which Cal does. As a stunned Maddie watches, he is detained and brought away by police.
When Helen found out she was pregnant with Ryan’s kid, she was devastated. In general, she seemed to be pleased with Erik and eager to begin IVF procedures. Ryan, on the other hand, has returned to town and has made the proposal.
Dana Sue inherits a large fortune from a deceased Serenity elder, Miss Francis. Annie learns about her mother’s “life ruiner” status from a stranger during her mother’s wake. In the end, Sullivan’s vehicle had its tyres slashed by the lady, who is recorded on camera.
A familiar face is instantly recognised by Maddie and Helen when they watch the footage. They declare ominously, “She’s back.”
Who is she?? This mysterious lady seems to be connected to Miss Francis and is well-known within the group. A niece or goddaughter may be claiming that the bequest should have gone to her instead. Only Netflix can tell us whether Sweet Magnolias season 3 will be renewed.
