If you’re a fan of new smartphone debuts, February is a great (or terrible, depending on how you look at it) month since there are so many launches and unveilings in the year’s shortest month.
For the first time ever, Samsung has unveiled three new smartphones and three new tablets at its Unpacked event on September 9th (the Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus and S8 Ultra).
The Xiaomi 12 and OnePlus 10 are expected to come in March or April, so some phone lovers may be ready to hibernate after Samsung’s unveiling. However, there’s a lot more happening this month that you should keep an eye on.
We’ll walk you through all of the next major smartphones so you don’t have to worry about making room for them in your schedule. Because these are actual launches, not just rumours, there’s a chance that more may be announced at a later date.
Until February 16, Realme 9 Pro
Realme has announced the February 16 release date for its newest budget-friendly numbered series devices. For the time being, the Realme 9 Pro and Pro Plus are all that we can anticipate.
The 50MP primary camera, color-changing back design, and built-in heart rate sensor of the Pro Plus have previously been shown. We don’t know as much about the basic Pro as we would want to right now.
The launch event will be a great opportunity to learn more about the Pro Plus Realme phone as we haven’t seen one before. This includes learning about the phone’s cost.
Feb. 17: OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G
When the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is released on February 17, we’ll be able to see it in action. This is likely to be OnePlus’ entry into the rapidly expanding Nord family of low-cost Android smartphones.
The phone’s 65W charging power, headphone port, and microSD card slot are all things we already know about it. The moniker, on the other hand, immediately hints to its compatibility with 5G networks.
We’ve learned a lot more through leaked information, which paints a picture of a typical Android smartphone that sits between between the mid- and low-end price ranges. However, we won’t know for sure until the 17th.
Red Magic 7 – Nubia – 17 February
The 17th of February will be a hectic day for mobile devices! ZTE’s Nubia smartphone division is also launching the Red Magic 7, their newest gaming phone, along with the OnePlus launch.
We’ve heard that for the first time, a Red Magic Pro edition is being released, and we don’t know what to anticipate from that one either.
In addition to the 165W charging, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and three back cameras that have been verified by the business, we’re hopeful that the phones will also have physical gaming triggers and an efficient cooling system.
Only in China, however Nubia normally releases its gaming phones in the United States and the United Kingdom within a few months after its introduction.
Moto Edge – February 24 – New model
Motorola has stated that a new Edge phone will be released on February 24th, but we have no idea what it will be. It’s possible that it may be the Motorola Edge 30 series.
On the basis of this teaser, which only confirms the date and that it’s an Edge smartphone (the little hashtag at the bottom), we can only speculate that this is a new generation of Edge gadget.
While other firms on this list have spoken up on features and specifications, Motorola has remained tight-lipped about its upcoming Edge series, which is expected to include three or four new Android devices.
There are more unanswered questions about this event than the Realme, OnePlus, or Red Magic debuts combined, so we’ll be watching closely to see what’s said.
Beginning on February 28, the Mobile World Congress will be held in Barcelona.
Mobile World Congress, often known as MWC 2022, is a yearly phone event taking place from February 28 to March 3 in Barcelona, Spain.
As a result of Covid’s cancellation of the 2020 Mobile World Congress and the downsizing and postponement of the 2021 event, it’s difficult to predict what MWC will look like in 2022.
However, Honor, Xiaomi, and Huawei have all agreed to attend, so it won’t be a quiet few days.
