A fresh media source indicates that the Korean giant is exploring employing MediaTek’s CPUs for its forthcoming flagships, implying that the Galaxy S23 might feature a MediaTek SoC at its helm. Until now, Samsung has used Snapdragon and Exynos chips in its flagship smartphones.

However, according to the insider, not every Galaxy S23 will be powered by a MediaTek SoC. Only the Asian variants will be equipped with such parts, according to Samsung. An additional half of the Galaxy S22 Fan Edition (FE) devices, according to the report, would be powered by processors made by Taiwan’s Tsinghua.

Exactly which MediaTek chipsets Samsung would utilise in these devices is still a mystery, but the fact that Samsung has previously used MediaTek chipsets in its lower-end smartphones should be taken into consideration nonetheless.
