Only one spec difference separates this model from the S22 Ultra
As we near the planned August launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, new leaks shed some insight on the camera arrangement we can expect from this premium foldable device.
Ice Universe claims that the phone will include a triple-lens 50MP + 12MP + 12MP system on the rear, including ultrawide and telephoto zoom. According to the same source, Samsung’s 12MP 3x zoom camera will be the “strongest 3x camera ever” on a smartphone.
That is to say, it will outperform the 10MP 3x zoom camera on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was released earlier this year and also features a 10x optical zoom.
Optional set-ups for filming
The Galaxy Z Fold 3’s rear camera module, which has a 12MP wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto 2x optical zoom camera, has been the subject of much conjecture.
Some rumours claim that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have the same 10MP 3x zoom camera as the S22 series, which would make sense given Samsung’s manufacturing procedures.
One might expect the foldable to arrive with a 108MP main camera, which would be an impressive advance over the current Ultra edition of the Galaxy S22. However, this prediction has been debunked.
Analysis: the Galaxy Z Fold 4 story so far
There has been a lot of conjecture and rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 over the past few months, as expected for a device with such a high reputation. The clamshell Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to follow.
As recently as the last few weeks, there have been rumours that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, making it simpler to slip into a pocket. According to another report, Samsung expects to sell a lot more 2022 foldables than the 2021 models, which are expected to be less popular.
As expected, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is not expected to have a built-in slot for the S Pen stylus (and nor did the Galaxy Z Fold 3). As for the cover display, it will measure 6.19 inches, which is a little smaller than its predecessor’s display.
We’ve also heard rumours that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have the same 4,400mAh battery capacity as the phone it’s replacing, and Samsung may be planning to lower the price of the foldable. We’ll know for sure in a few months.
