Now that Samsung’s next Galaxy Z Fold and Flip phones are only days from from being unveiled, more information about their looks and specs is starting to trickle in. The Z Fold 4 is said to have a smaller, lighter footprint, making it easier to carry in a pocket or handbag.
Display Supply Chain Consultant CEO Ross Young retweeted another tweet from an industry source who claims that Z Fold and Flip manufacturing is supposedly triple what they were generating for the Fold and Flip 3. For Samsung to foresee significant sales of both devices, and potentially a price decrease to encourage further sales, this would be a strong indication of their expectations.
Z Fold 4 had already been linked to camera speculations as well as other reports pointing to the standard spec increases we’d anticipate from a new generation. There are conflicting reports on whether or not the phone will include an S-Pen.
There is no official announcement yet, but the excitement the phone is creating four months before its scheduled release is a promising omen.
Still, the Z Fold 3 isn’t quite there yet.
There is nothing wrong with having a smaller gadget like the Z Fold series as long as the battery life is adequate. For those who don’t want to carry about an unwieldy brick to shoot images and movies, this is the solution.
Although the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was a pleasure to use, the gadget’s thickness and weight detracted from what was otherwise an excellent product. Even if the Z Fold 4 might be lighter, it will still be a two-handed phone due to its size and weight.
If the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has an S-Pen integrated in, it would be one of the most versatile phones on the market, which gets us enthusiastic for the future of the expanding foldable niche. There are numerous contradicting rumours regarding it.
