The leaker Ice Universe, who has a reputation for being accurate when it comes to Samsung Galaxy Z leaks, predicts the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be larger than its predecessor. In other tweets, he noted that the internal screen ratio of Fold3 is 5:4, but the ratio of Fold4 is closer to square.

This decision has both advantages and disadvantages. When folded, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 would feel more like a normal phone, which is a plus. As of now, the Z Fold 3 has a somewhat unusual 24.5:9 aspect ratio when closed, making it tall and thin. This change would bring the aspect ratio closer to 18:9, which is a familiar feel.

The square form, on the other hand, presents a number of challenges. To begin with, it’s a poor choice for a portable theatre experience since most material isn’t made for square displays. You’d be better off broadcasting to an external screen if your internal screen has significant black bars.
