The refreshed Galaxy Tab S6 Lite slate is now available for pre-order on Amazon Italy, and it’s a 2022 version of a 2020 item. Beginning on May 23, deliveries and sales will be available for purchase.

There are two notable differences in specifications between the original and the 2022 model. To begin, Android 12 rather than Android 10 comes pre-installed on the new slate. The Exynos 9611 has been replaced by a Snapdragon 720G (8nm) processor (10nm). This means that the CPU and the GPU are more powerful than they were in the initial version.

After being upgraded to Android 12 a few months ago, the original S6 Lite is still eligible for one more update (and a year of security patches after that). However, considering the hardware’s age, it’s unclear what the 2022 edition may expect in the way of updates.

The 4/64GB model costs €400, which is €20 higher than the original model did two years ago, another thing we noted (that could be a variation in regional pricing). As a side note, we haven’t seen a 128GB or LTE version of the slate, which may be because the slate newly launched and merchants are still updating their online inventory (the 2022 edition doesn’t appear on Samsung Italy yet).

The rest of the process is exactly the same as before. With a 2,000 x 1,200 pixel resolution, the S Pen may be used on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022). On the inside, you’ll find 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage (with microSD support) and a 7,040mAh battery. Dolby Atmos is supported by a pair of AKG-tuned speakers, which are connected to the system through 3.5mm. For additional information, see our original hands-on review, however be aware that the operating system is now Android 12 with One UI 4.0.
