Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro vs. Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus: Comparing Their Designs
The S22 Plus and iPhone 13 Pro are both based on last year’s models from Apple and Samsung. When it comes to the S22 Plus, it means preserving the “Contour Cut” camera hump. However, this year’s edition has a 6.6-inch screen, which is smaller than the 6.7-inch Galaxy S21 Plus.
Despite this, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen with a notch to conceal its front camera and Face ID sensors, making it bigger than the iPhone 13. Flat side rails and a square camera block are also part of the phone’s design.
This phone is available in a variety of colour choices ranging from black to white to green to pink gold when purchased straight from Samsung. Silver, gold, graphite, and Sierra Blue are all available colour options for the iPhone 13 Pro.

iPhone 13 Pro vs. Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus: Which Has the Better Display?
The screens of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and the iPhone 13 Pro are noticeably different from one another.
Compared to the S22 Plus, the iPhone 13 Pro has a slightly higher resolution of 2352 x 1170, making it somewhat more detailed than the S22 Plus. Colour and brightness are enhanced thanks to OLED screens on both devices.
Samsung claims the Galaxy S22 Plus can reach a brightness of 1,750 nits, but our light metre measured 648 nits. The iPhone 13 Pro, on the other hand, had a maximum brightness of 1,024 nits when adaptive brightness was enabled and 825 nits when it wasn’t. However, we are a big fan of Samsung’s display and believe it’s one of the finest overall.
LTPO technology allows both phones to reach 120 Hz refresh rates for smoother scrolling and more immersive video playback. As a result, the iPhone 13 Pro can scale down to 10Hz, while the S22 Plus can reach 48Hz. While Samsung data transmission rates can go as low as 10Hz, the refresh rate of its display couldn’t go lower than 48Hz.) In other words, whether you’re reading or gazing at static photos or text, the iPhone’s display should use less power and save you battery life.

iPhone 13 Pro versus Galaxy S22 Plus: Cameras
Both the iPhone and the Galaxy have the same number of cameras, and they perform the same functions. However, the resolutions and other distinctive characteristics are varied.
Among the camera features on the Galaxy S22 Plus are the 50-megapixel primary camera, the 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, the 10-megapixel 3x optical telephoto camera, as well as the 10-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The primary, ultrawide, 3x optical telephoto, and selfie cameras on the iPhone 13 Pro are all 12MP on the iPhone 13 Pro, though. The tiny magnification discrepancy in this ultrawide photograph of the Grand Central Canal Paddington arm can be ignored, but it shows Samsung’s propensity to overheat photos once again. Not as obvious here, but the yellow sky streak over the railway station and sand-colored ground near the sitting area do show this effect.
Almost all of the colour temperature variation was eliminated after using this particular animated clock to train the 3x telephoto cameras. If anything, the iPhone shot has more vibrant hues. Aside from that, I believe the iPhone’s photo is sharper, catching the digital numbers and the clock’s curvature better than the S22 Plus.
It’s finally here: a portrait-mode selfie of my own. The two phones have taken somewhat different approaches to making my face seem more vibrant than it really is. Compared to the iPhone 13 Pro, the S22 Plus provides a hyper-realistic colouring. To be honest, I like the S22 Plus’ portrait effect quality. Instead of adding weird flat areas to my haircut and ignoring some of the stray strands, the iPhone cutout is more exact and smooth around my skull.
I’ve previously discussed how the Galaxy S22 Plus outperformed the iPhone 13 Pro Max in terms of night photography. In the daytime, it seems that Samsung is just as capable as Apple of taking on its finest. Depending on your tolerance for overly saturated photos, Samsung’s camera may even be the superior choice. Apple’s somewhat more realistic picture processing, though, I believe, carries the iPhone in this case.
The winner was the iPhone 13 Pro.

The Galaxy S22 Plus, like its predecessors the Galaxy S21 series, allows you to capture videos in resolutions of up to 8K at 24fps or 4K at 60fps. It also has HDR stabilisation and auto-framing for up to 10 individuals to ensure that everyone who should be in the frame is in the shot.
Even if the iPhone 13 Pro is limited to 4K video at 60 frames per second, don’t write it off just yet. The A15 Bionic CPU and 6GB of RAM come standard with the iPhone 13 Pro, no matter where you purchase it. In addition to 8GB of RAM, the S22 Plus has either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or an Exynos 2200 processor (depending on your location).

The iPhone outperforms any S22 Plus in benchmark testing, no matter which model you compare it against. Galaxy S22 Plus’s single- and multicore Geekbench 5 scores were much below the iPhone 13 Pro’s best-in-class results, as shown in our article on the device’s benchmarks. In 3DMark’s Wild Life Unlimited, the iPhone 13 Pro clocked in at 70 frames per second, beating out the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 for second and third place, respectively.
For a single test of the iPhone 13 Pro’s performance, try doing a video transcoding test using Adobe Premiere Rush. The Galaxy S21 Plus took 48 seconds to complete the assignment, whilst the iPhone 13 Pro took just 26 seconds to do it. There’s a significant disparity in the two vehicles’ top speeds.
Neither phone has a problem with 5G. This means that no matter which cell carrier you choose, you’ll be getting the best speeds possible on your phone of choice with the S22 and iPhone 13 series handsets that support mmWave 5G.

Batteries: Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus vs. Apple iPhone 13 Pro
The battery capacity of the Galaxy S22 Plus has been reduced from 5,100 mAh in the Galaxy S21 Plus to 4,500 mAh in the Galaxy S22 Plus. The iPhone 13 Pro’s battery, at 3,095 mAh, is even more condensed.
Despite the iPhone’s small battery, it performed well in our own battery test, lasting 11 hours, 42 minutes and counting while surfing the web through cellular until the battery ran out. That puts the iPhone 13 Pro at the top of our list of the best-lasting smartphones.
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Plus lasted 9 hours and 46 minutes under the same circumstances as the typical smartphone, which is nearly the same as the Galaxy S21. In order to get 9 hours and 57 minutes of battery life, it was necessary to disable adaptive mode.
When it’s time to recharge, you’ll need to bring your own charger since neither phone comes with one. The cable charging speed on the Galaxy S22 Plus is 45W, compared to 20W on the iPhone 13 Pro. Wirelessly charging both phones provides 15W.
The Galaxy S22 Plus can be charged from 0% to 70% in less than half an hour thanks to the multiple charging rates. That same period of time only saw the iPhone 13 Pro reach 53% of the market share.

The major difference between these two phones is, not surprisingly, the software they run. Apple’s iOS 15 powers the iPhone, while Samsung’s One UI 4 skin powers the Galaxy S22.

Apple’s latest mobile operating system, iOS 15, includes new features including scheduled notification summaries and a Focus mode. iPhone 13 Pro owners should expect at least five years of software updates from Apple, based on the fact that the company presently supports iOS 15 on the iPhone 6S, which was released in 2015.

S22 Plus’ bigger size and display make it seem like you got more phone for your money, but the iPhone 13 Pro delivers on performance, cameras, and battery life. When it comes to displays, we prefer the Galaxy S22 Plus over the iPhone 13 Pro, although both are excellent.
The Galaxy S22 Plus is a great option for long-time Android users who don’t want to pay the hefty price of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. When it comes to features, though, the iPhone 13 Pro has more to offer than its predecessors. Source
