Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 4G tipped with Snapdragon 720G

The Galaxy S20 FE was Samsung’s first Fan Edition smartphone, released in 2020. Also, there were two models: one with the Exynos 990 SoC from Samsung, and the other with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865. In January, the Galaxy S21 FE will eventually be available, but only with a single iteration of the Snapdragon 888, which is capable of 5G.

We believed that the S21 FE wouldn’t have a 4G-only model because 5G networks are becoming more and more common around the world, and even mid-range smartphones already feature 5G compatibility as standard. As if that wasn’t enough, Samsung is also working on a 4G version of the Galaxy S21 FE, which it hopes will surprise us even more.

According to Galaxy Club, the SM-G990B2 is in the works, with its own firmware. The G990B, also known as the S21 FE 5G, features Bluetooth 5.0, although the Bluetooth SIG recently confirmed the S21 FE 5G as having Bluetooth 5.2.

According to various listings at Scandinavian online stores as well as outlets in Belgium and the Netherlands, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G CPU will power the S21 FE 4G.

There are a number of Redmi-branded devices using this SoC, including the Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4. Due to its inferior performance compared to the Snapdragon 888 in the S21 FE 5G, the S21 FE 4G must also be less expensive. However, it’s not apparent if there are any hardware variances.
