Review: Belkin's Latest 3-in-1 Charger for Apple Watch Series 7

To use fast charging, Apple Watch Series 7 owners must have an updated charging puck that supports the feature, which means that all existing chargers from Apple and third-party companies are out of date and will not provide the fastest charging speeds when paired with a Series 7. To address this, Belkin released the Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe in November, which includes a new fast charge Apple Watch puck. so let get started with today Review. Getting different problems is altogether gives a very different experience. today the Review I am going to share with you is Belkin’s Latest 3-in-1 Charger for Apple Watch Series 7

Here’s everything you need to know about Belkin’s Latest 3-in-1 Charger for Apple Watch Series 7

The Boost Charge Pro costs $150 and includes a 15W wireless charging pad for the iPhone 12 and 13 models (limited to 12W for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini) as well as a secondary Qi-based wireless charging spot for the AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Belkin’s multi-device chargers have previously featured an upright charging position for the iPhone, with other devices accommodated below or on the other side, but this new model is flat.

On the right is an Apple Watch charging puck that can be used flat or popped up for Night Stand mode, and on the left is a flat MagSafe charging pad. There’s a circular indent in the centre where the AirPods are supposed to go.

I’m not a fan of the amount of desk space that this design takes up. My iPhone 13 Pro Max must be charged in portrait mode, so there must be enough space above and below the charger to accommodate the phone. The iPhone is up out of the way with an upright charging pad design, and the charging pad can go at the back of my desk (which is up against the wall), but with this flat design, it needs to be more in the middle of my desk to have room for the iPhone.

The Boost Charge Pro is nine inches long and slightly more than three inches wide when all three charging spots are in place. That size won’t matter on a large desk with plenty of space, but if you have a smaller, more compact space like mine, this design might not be ideal. Belkin claims that this design is intended to be more packable, but it’s far too thick and heavy in my opinion.

The Boost Charge Pro Wireless Charging Pad has a premium feel with a solid weight that keeps it on the desk when using the MagSafe charger with an iPhone, and it’s made from a soft touch material that comes in black or white. The Apple Watch charging puck and MagSafe charger are both white with chrome accents. As you can see in my photos, the black model attracts lint and dust, which is difficult to remove due to the texture.

The AirPods charging spot has an LED light on the charger, but Belkin relies on the Apple Watch and iPhone screens to confirm charging for the other devices because they’re both magnetic chargers with simpler alignment.

I tested the charging speed of the MagSafe with an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and it was just as fast as a standard MagSafe charger. The Apple Watch Series 7 charging puck charged at the same faster rate as the Apple Watch charging puck that came with the watch. The charging power in the middle spot is limited to 5W.

Despite being designed for MagSafe iPhones and the most recent Apple Watch, the Boost Charge Pro is also compatible with older iPhone and Apple Watch models. You won’t get faster charging speeds with an older Apple Watch, and non-MagSafe iPhones will only get 7.5W with the MagSafe charger, but it works. You can also fit another iPhone into the middle charging spot.

Belkin ships the Boost Charge Pro with a barrel plug power adapter rather than something more universal like USB-C, which is typical of these 3-in-1 Belkin chargers. I wish Belkin would adopt USB-C, and I also wish we could have more variety in naming to distinguish between the various charging options.

Belkin’s previous wireless charger was also the Boost Charge Pro, so if you’re looking to buy, don’t confuse this new Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe with the previous Boost Charge Pro Wireless Charger with MagSafe.

Bottom Line

If you have the money and the desk space for the Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad, it could be worth it to get the fastest wireless charging speeds for the latest iPhone and Apple Watch.

Most people can get by with older, slower charging options, but the Boost Charge Pro may be especially appealing to Apple Watch Series 7 owners who wear their watches to bed. If you want to sleep but need to charge your Apple Watch to get through the night, faster charging can be a real quality of life improvement.

Only about 10 minutes of charging time provides enough battery life for an eight-hour sleep cycle, which is convenient. Of course, the charging puck that came with the Apple Watch is an option, but for those who prefer a single-cable charging solution and want fast charging, the Boost Charge Pro is the only option right now.
