The star of Netflix’s Resident Evil series is a big one.
A release date has finally been set for Netflix’s Resident Evil live-action series For the simple reason that the actor who played Cedric Daniels in The Wire and Charon in John Wick will be playing long-time Resident Evil game villain Albert Wesker in the upcoming series.
Not only is Reddick a beloved actor, but this is also significant because of this. He will be the first person of colour to play Albert Wesker in any Resident Evil franchise. In August 2020, the series was initially revealed. Netflix’s Geeked Week stream revealed today’s casting news, which indicated that production had begun.
The first season of Netflix’s Resident Evil series will include eight one-hour episodes.
When will Netflix release Resident Evil?
On July 14, 2022, the eight one-hour-long episodes of the programme will premiere.

In addition to Reddick, there will be Siena Agudong, Ella Balinska, Paola Nunez, Tamara Smart, and Adeline Rudolph in the cast of Charlie’s Angels (Riverdale).

We don’t know who they’ll be playing. Jade and Billie Wesker, Wesker’s two daughters, will appear in the Netflix series, which was previously revealed. Jake Muller, Wesker’s son who featured in prior parts, has not been mentioned.
Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) will direct the show, and he also penned the pilot’s screenplay. The first two episodes will be directed by The Walking Dead’s Bronwen Hughes.
First Resident Evil series for Netflix was announced in a press statement by Dabb, who named Resident Evil his “favourite game of all time” and that he was “very pleased to write a new chapter in this fantastic saga.”

‘Year 2036 – 14 years after a lethal virus caused a worldwide catastrophe, Jade Weker struggles for life in a world overrun by blood-thirsty infected and deranged monsters,’ states the logline for the series. With all of this destruction, Jade is tormented by her history in New Raccoon City, by her father’s disturbing ties to the Umbrella Corporation, and most of all by what happened to her sister Billie.
The series is set “almost three decades after the discovery of the T-virus, a breakout unveils the Umbrella Corporation’s terrible secrets,” according to previous Variety reporting. The one-hour sitcom has been ordered by Netflix for a further eight episodes.
