It’s now possible to buy the nubia Red Magic 7 Pro outside of China, where it was first introduced in February. The international variant comes in two colours, Obsidian and Supernova, and includes 16GB of RAM. The 256GB model costs $799/£679/€799, while the 512GB model costs $899/£759/€899, respectively.

Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, the Red Magic 7 Pro comes preloaded with RedMagic OS 5.0, an Android 12-based operating system. To free up the Qualcomm silicon for more critical functions, it has a gaming-specific processor dubbed Red Core 1 that handles audio, RGB lighting, and haptic feedback.

There’s a 6.8-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 960Hz touch sampling rate on the gaming smartphone. Gorilla Glass 5 protects the panel, and a fingerprint reader is located underneath it for biometric verification. Under-display 16MP selfie camera provides an uninterrupted visual experience not achievable with screens that have notch or punch holes..

The 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras are situated next to the 64MP main camera on the back panel. A 5,000 mAh battery powers everything, and it’s recharged through a USB-C connector. As a side note, the worldwide model only enables 65W charging compared to the Chinese version’s 135W.
