Motorola’s “Austin” smartphone has a centred punch hole display and a triple camera system on the back with a 50MP sensor at the centre. Renders released today confirm Austin’s design and provide us with our finest look yet at the vehicle’s inside and exterior.
Prepp.in worked with OnLeaks to uncover the marketing name of Motorola Austin as Moto G 5G, and these photographs are the result (2022).
Motorola’s Moto G 5G (2022) has a product code of XT2213, and it boasts a 6.6-inch diagonal display, according to the same reliable source. The Snapdragon 750G SoC powers the phone, which means it will ship with Android 11, which is a disappointment given that Android 12 has been available for months and that Google has already released two developer previews for Android 13.
The Moto G 5G (2022) sports a volume rocker and a fingerprint scanner on the right-side frame. It has a USB-C connector at the bottom, flanked by a microphone, 3.5mm headphone jack, and speaker.
Moto G 5G (2022) is projected to be 9.3mm thick (or 10.7mm with the camera hump), have 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage (extendable to 512GB), and a 5,000mAh battery, according to the aforementioned information.
The 50MP main camera on the rear will be accompanied by 8MP and 2MP cameras, with the latter presumably being a macro/depth unit and the former an ultrawide device. Just remember that these are preliminary specifications and should not be taken as gospel.
With a price tag of about $300, the Motorola Moto G 5G (2022) is slated to be on sale in June with two colour options: Volcanic Grey and Frosted Silver.
