Even though Motorola hasn’t started rolling out its Android 12 upgrades yet, the company has said that it aims to update a large number of devices like Moto G30. With the release of a 2020 phone last month, things were just getting started, but now we have a newer model.

There you have it: the Moto G30, which was launched little over a year ago. The Android 12 upgrade for this handset has already begun rolling out in Brazil, one of Motorola’s most significant markets.

There have been several reports of G30 users receiving the update message. You may download 1.09 GB of new software that is classified as S0RCS32.41-10-9-2, and it’s a new version of the programme. Moto G30 dual-SIM model number XT2129-1-DS is presently shipping with the feature. The February 2022 security updates are also included in this version of Android. Despite being a month behind schedule, this is still a solid mid-range phone.

Our fingers are crossed that the update will be available in all markets where the Moto G30 is sold within the next few days (or weeks, at most).

The Android 12 upgrade is now only being sent out to Moto G30 devices in Brazil, but it is expected to be rolled out to more territories in the coming weeks. By going to Settings > System > System updates, you may manually check for the update if you haven’t gotten an OTA message. Motorola Rescue and Smart Assistant Tool, which is available for PCs, may be used by advanced users to download and flash the new firmware.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 octa-core CPU, the Moto G30 has up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Two 2MP macro and two 2MP depth sensors are arranged vertically atop a rectangular camera module on the phone’s rear, while a fingerprint reader is tucked away under the Moto batwing logo.
