Rumors and conjecture regarding Apple’s headset portray it as a high-end head-mounted display capable of delivering new VR and AR experiences to customers. Apple may rely on ideas from other goods and services when it comes to utilising the headset for conversations.
As FaceTime needs a camera to make video calls, utilising the headset to make a video call is very improbable. Mark Gurman speculates in Bloomberg’s “Power On” email on Sunday that Apple may use Memojis to get around the difficulty.
A virtual conference room with dozens of other people may be possible, according to Gurman’s theory in the newsletter. The 3D replicas of them (Memojis) will take the place of the genuine faces, he explains.
Gurman believes that the headgear will be able to recognise a user’s facial expressions in real time, much like the iOS version of Memoji.
Also, Gurman suggests how the headset might be utilised for communal entertainment, advocating the “strong usage of SharePlay in the new realityOS” allowing users to “experiment with movies and music together.”

A few days earlier, code references found in App Store upload logs suggested the “rOS” allegations from 2017 may be accurate.
The AR headgear is expected to be on sale in late 2022 or early 2023 for upwards of $2,000 per unit. Virtual reality and augmented reality headsets are expected to be more sophisticated than early AR goods, and the headgear may be a standalone product that doesn’t need a host device, even if it would be a VR headset by build.
